USED TO EDITING MYSTERY BOOKS, THE LAST THING SHE EXPECTED WAS HAVING TO SOLVE ONE.
Aster considers herself a relatively lucky girl: she has good friends, a job she is passionate about, and is within arm’s reach of the promotion she has dreamed of since she joined her publishing house nearly a decade ago. At least until A.R. Chester, the bestselling author of cozy mysteries, terminates her next contract without warning. This doesn’t just turn the office upside down—it upends Aster’s life, too, as she watches her chances of promotion vanish.
But she has never been one to sit idly by. Armed with her own wits and the clues hidden within A.R. Chester’s books, she sets out to unravel one of the literary world’s greatest myster- ies: she is determined to discover who is behind the famous pseudonym, and why they made such a decision.
And, of course, to make them change their mind.
