Abel Amutxategi
Abel Amutxategi (Bilbao, 1978) writes with the same humor for both young and old, convinced that the only thing that sets them apart is a simple matter of time and size. In Spanish, he has published books such as La increíble historia de Mara y el sol que cayó del cielo (El transbordador, 2018) or Cuentos a tumba abierta (Molino, 2020), and in Basque, titles like Berbontzi (erein, 2014) or the series Niko eta amona intergalaktikoa (erein, 2025-2026). You might also have listened to some of his Cuentos cortos para lavarse los dientes (Short Stories for Brushing Your Teeth), audio stories narrated in just two minutes so that children can use them as a timer, which were brought to print by Molino in 2021. He is currently preparing his new collection, to be published soon by Siruela.
