María Rubio
María Rubio (Zaragoza, 1987) is a scriptwriter and writer. She studied Advertising and Public Relations, and her work in advertising has earned her several awards. But, undoubtedly, what she likes most is writing humor. Perhaps that's why she has worked at Cartoon Network for years, adapting series like Adventure Time, Steven Universe and Ordinary Stories to Spanish; she is also the pen behind Toony, a felt youtuber who talks about cartoons and has more than 160,000 subscribers. All this led her to discover her great passion: writing for children. She has authored popular children's series, such as Valle Kazaam (“Kazaam Valley”, Planeta) and Hotel Bu ("Hotel Boo", RBA).
